Music is an integral and virtual part of the ministries at Concordia Church. As a key component of worship, and through our community concert series, we use the gift of music as a way to live out our motto of Love God, Love your neighbor.

Marisa Buchheit
Marisa BuchheitMusic Director
Marisa Buchheit is an operatic soprano, event host, marketing expert and sales professional from Chicago. She has performed on stages around the world in opera and musical theater, and continues to perform solo and with her trio Très Belle. She graduated from Cleveland Institute of Music with Academic Honors, and earned her Master’s from DePaul University. She is proud to serve as soprano soloist and Music Director at Concordia Lutheran Church.
Paul Dykstra
Paul DykstraMinister of Music
Concordia’s keyboardist / conductor performs as a pianist throughout the country. Dykstra conducted the Lira Singers / Symphony bringing Polish music to Symphony Center, focusing on the music of victims of the Holocaust. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of South Dakota, his study includes piano with CCPA’s Ani Gogova and Ludmilla Lazar, Juilliard’s James Mathis and conducting with the Metropolitan Opera’s Jan Meyerowitz.
Matt Flanagan
Matt FlanaganProduction Director
Matt Flanagan, Production Director at Concordia Church, has been instrumental in ushering the church into the 21st century through technology. A local audio/video engineer, trombonist, and founding member of Lakeshore Brass, he performs with orchestras, musical theaters, and chamber ensembles throughout the Midwest, showcasing his versatile talents and passion for music.
