A spirited conversation was had by the participants at the July 14th workshop. Participants, using the Strength Finders 2.0 book and online inventory, delved into the theory of what understanding and maximizing one’s strengths can do. One participant stated, “The Strengths Finder assessment and report of your top 5 strengths are a helpful personal development tool. It can unmask your God-given talents and help you think about yourself in a new way. If you’ve ever struggled with self-doubt, I’d definitely recommend that you take this assessment. As the book points out, too often we focus on what we need to improve about ourselves. Focusing on your strengths is much more positive and freeing!”

A second discussion (anticipated for later in the summer) is in the works to go deeper into what understanding other’s strengths can do in a team setting.
